    Holiday Archipelago
    http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Holiday%20Archipelago%20Two/66/152/24
Sheila will ask people to type into text chat which games etc. they tried (now or in previous visits) – if none you can say “none”
    We can discuss these questions
    A. Do you find the games and rides on this island enjoyable or fun?
What IS enjoyable/fun and what ISN’T enjoyable?
You might not have even tried them because you know you don’t find this kind of thing enjoyable – in which case please do contribute t the “not enjoyable” conversation
B Was it easy or difficult to learn how to play the games etc?
What made them easy to learn?
What made them difficult to learn?
If it was difficult – did this add to the experience or make it tedious/frustrating?
What puts you off even trying to play the games?
    C. Are these suitable to use in an educational context?
If so – what kind of education? Have you specific ideas for specific games and rides?
Have you examples of OTHER games and rides you have used educationally?
Are there any specific games and rides you would like to recommend?

NOTECARD: Volleyball game instructions

1. Click the court on your side of the net to get a ball hitter. Attach the ball hitter to you chest.

2. The ball hitter will synchronize with  the volleyball court by turning either red or blue (depending on the side of the net you are on).

3. The other side of the court will flash the same color. That is where you must hit the ball to score. It is your target area.

4. To serve the ball, click the net. The ball will serve the ball towards you. Maneuver your avatar towards the ball. When you are close enough, your avatar will automatically hit the ball.

5. If you miss the ball, just click the net again. The ball will derez and another ball will be served to you.

6. If you want to practice, click the court and choose practice. If you want to play, click the court and choose new game.

7. There is also a practice bot. Click practice bot to practice against a bot. You can also make the practice bots practice against one another from each side of the court. There is a practice bot on each side of the court.

8. You can change the ball size from extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large by selecting Ball Size on the menu. Each time Ball Size is selected the size decrements to the next smallest size, until extra small, where it changes to extra large..

9. You can change the ball style from from three different color combinations. Ball style 1 is the easiest and has the most float time (time spent in the air) after being hit. Ball style 3 has the least float time. Ball style 2 is in between Ball 1 and Ball 3 in terms of float time.
